Plushies at Work

Wallace supervises Hutch the rabbit and Shaun the sheep as they work hard at Allan's computer. Okay, not really-- this was the result of a little prank Allan's co-worker pulled while we were out to lunch. Kinda cute, actually!

Toy Car Ramp

Todd builds an obstacle course/ramp out of books for his toy car to navigate. Inspired by the book "Lucky Lizard", no doubt, wherein the main character, also named Todd, navigates a bicycle obstacle course.

Snowball Mic

The Snowball from Blue Microphones is what I use when I do online karaoke. It's great audio quality and looks smooth yet funky at the same time-- its neck and base remind me a bit of a T4 bacteriophage virus!

Comfy in the Office

Todd kicks his feet up on a drawer pedestal and really gets comfortable while reading in my office today. Spoiled much? ;-)

Red Tape

Need some Executive Red Tape for that bureaucratic maze? Here you go! Got this as a trinket at the 2006 annual Amgen Chili Cook-Off, back when I worked there. Methinks this tape measure has many uses!

Valentine Chocolate

Post-holiday sales are yummy. Ate this entire box of chocolates in one sitting-- only 75 cents at the grocery store! Definitely worth it :-)

Freezer Tetris

I mistakenly thought we were out of frozen dinners when I went grocery shopping at noon and stocked up on a bunch. Apparently we still had plenty-- came home and realized I had to play freezer Tetris to fit it all in!

Rash Guard

Got this on sale at Sport Chalet for Todd, to keep him warm during his outdoor, evening swim lessons this winter. Size 4 because he's so skinny! The shark pattern and the sea turtle on the label are just icing on the cake! :-)

Laundry Jail

This, apparently, is how Todd prefers to fold his laundry-- from the confines of a laundry hamper jail!

Birthday Kids

Two more friends' kids, born 3 days apart, turned 1 this month, and we celebrated Charlotte and Levi's birthdays in Buellton today. Here they are, watching Todd make his stuffed turtle talk.

Doubles Coupon

We each rolled doubles yesterday at "GoToCasino", and each got coupons good for 2 meals. We used our first one yesterday, and our second one, pictured here, today. Free food twice in a row! Now that's what I call lucky at GoToCafe!

GoToCasino

Roll the dice for discounted (even free!) meals at GoToCafe. Allan and I both rolled doubles today, good for 2 free meals apiece!

Paper Airplanes

Todd made these tonight. Some of them flew really well! Ah, little boys and their penchant for building things!

Currently on the reading list at school. I sure wish I had such kid-friendly versions of Homer's "Odyssey" to read when I was first introduced to this classic-- might've made it more fun!

Valentine Treats

Yummy cupcakes and other treats at work today. The cupcakes were delightfully soft and melted in your mouth. Best of all-- they were free! :-)

Play Doh Man

A funky-looking man that Todd made out of Play-doh and Mr. Potato-like appendages. Unfortunately the camera decided to focus on the items just *behind* the figure, so he's a bit fuzzy. Ah well!

Todd reads Dilbert

... on Daddy's Galaxy Tab while eating lunch at El Pollo Loco today. Not sure if all of the strips are age-appropriate, but he seems to enjoy them, anyway.

Southern Lunch

Oops. Was out so late Friday night I didn't get a chance to post the day's pic till now. Lunch at GoToCafe with my two boys: Southern fried chicken, mac 'n' cheese, and broccoli. Yum!

Elephant Bar

Dinner with the boys at Elephant Bar tonight. Todd got a coupon for a free kid's meal. Here is his "Junior Adventure" drink cup.

Ice Cream Mug

Empty mug after devouring homemade ice cream. Todd and Grandpa made it on Sunday. Shot taken with my "new" phone, which is actually Allan's "old" Nexus One. The flash created a funky halo-ish effect. I kind of like it!

Forward Dating?

Check out the date on the medical supply cabinet refill log at work. Today is most assuredly NOT the 11th! I've heard of backdating, but forward-dating? That's a new one.

Reading in the couch

This is Todd's idea of reading on the couch before bed tonight. More like reading INside the couch. Sofa cushion fort, anyone? :-P

Giant Beer

Allan drinks out of a huge beer mug during dinner at Brummi's. It's just the right size for the tall freak, don't you think? ;-)

Modified Instructions

Every weekend morning I lay out breakfast stuff, books and instructions for Todd on the table, as he usually gets up before me. Today he decided to add one more directive to the list (see #7):

Tucked In

Draped a blanket over Todd, who curled up unexpectedly as it fell. This is all that was left in sight when the blanket settled down over him. Nose and ears stay cozy and warm, at least?

Typed Essay

Remember the shot of Todd typing his essay? It's finished! Here it is, alongside the handwritten (and teacher-corrected) version. Only took a few days to hunt-and-peck out "The Benefits of Earth" :-P

Indian Wine

Allan got this from a co-worker from India. Riviera Red Wine!

Typing Todd

Homework assignment: typing up an essay he wrote earlier this week. Mostly hunt-and-peck. Time to break out the "learn to type" software!
